Careers Guidance and SEND
Our students with SEND will access the careers programme and guidance from our careers team to help them prepare for their future education and the world of work.
We believe that effective careers guidance and support for students with SEND is achieved through personalised, early intervention focused on individual needs, accessible advice, and close partnership with parents/carers.
At Ipswich Academy, our students with SEND will have access to the following:
- Targeted input from careers professionals
- Face to face careers information, advice and guidance from a qualified careers advisor
- Support from the SEND team in all aspects of their future in education, training and employment
- Meaningful experiences with employers and training providers either individually or in small groups
- Additional support when applying for future choices and visiting post 16 providers
