Journey into History

May 1st

Our Year 7s traded their textbooks for a day of discovery this week as the second half of the year group headed to the stunning Norwich Cathedral!

As one of the UK’s finest examples of Norman architecture, it was the perfect “living classroom” for our students to see history come to life. From the soaring arches to the 900-year-old stonework, there was so much to explore.

Highlights of the day included:

  • Building for Power: Investigating how the Normans used grand Romanesque designs to show off their strength.
  • Stories of the Past: Our expert guides brought the Norman Conquest to life with tales of how our local area was changed forever.
  • A Glimpse into Faith: Exploring modern Christian traditions and the peaceful rhythms of Cathedral life today.

Our students represented the school brilliantly, showing fantastic curiosity and respect throughout the tour. A huge thank you to the Cathedral’s education team for hosting such an enriching experience for our students!

GCSE Results

GCSE results are available to collect on Thursday 20th August, 9:30–11:30am. If your child cannot collect them in person, a nominated adult may do so. They must bring a photo ID and a letter signed by the student giving permission, which the school will keep for evidence.
