A Message from the Principal
I hope that you have all enjoyed the warm weather that we’ve had this week. I apologise for having to call an early closure on Friday but I felt that was the best thing.
On the whole, the students did well to cope with the extreme heat. Hopefully the weather cools for the remainder of the school year. The forecast indicates such so from Monday we will revert back to our normal uniform.
We have recently updated our pupil privacy notice to ensure it reflects the current systems we use. The notice is now live on the Trust website – the link can be found here. If you have any questions about this notice, please contact info@ipswichacademy.org.uk. Thank you

Get ready for the school discos in July!
We are excited to announce our upcoming school discos, and we want to see as many students there as possible!
To celebrate the hard work and dedication of our school community, we are offering a significant discount on ticket prices for students who consistently demonstrate excellence in their daily routines.
How to secure a discount
Students can qualify for a reduced ticket price by meeting the following criteria:
- Perfect attendance and punctuality: attending school every day and arriving at all lessons on time.
- Positive learning behaviour: consistently showing a great attitude and high engagement during lessons.
We want to reward those who show up and give their best effort every single day. Let’s make these events really memorable!

Useful Tips for Parents/Carers
Safeguarding
Notice Perfectionism:
If your teenager is stressing over being ‘perfect’, they might be feeling pressure to succeed. Encourage them to take breaks and remind them it’s okay to make mistakes. If this continues, let the school know so we can help ease the pressure.
Attendance
Monitor Screen Time:
Make sure your child’s use of screens, especially in the evenings, doesn’t interfere with their sleep or focus. This can help them wake up refreshed and ready for school.
Reading/Literacy
Encourage a Love of Writing:
Provide your child with colourful pens, notebooks, or apps to write stories or poems. Writing helps them practice their spelling and grammar while sparking creativity.
