Head of MFL
Ipswich Academy is seeking an inspirational, well qualified and motivated Head of MFL to cover maternity leave, then at the end of the maternity leave, change to a Teacher of French.
This role would suit an experienced Teacher of MFL to take on a new challenge of leading this subject, or for an individual who is relatively new to the profession with the potential to move to senior leadership.
As Head of MFL at Ipswich Academy, you will support, develop and lead a team of teachers within your department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have the drive ability to provide effective curriculum planning and implementation of French across all key stages, and will be responsible for managing the work of all staff in the department, ensuring through consistent implementation, that the academy meets all of its obligations to staff and pupils.
The successful candidate will have the drive to be highly effective, innovative, enthusiastic and a good team player, with the ability to engage and motivate students in involvement in the wider life of the French department.
Salary: L4 – L7 £50,807 – £54,816, changing to 1-9 (national) £30,000 – £46,525 when the role changes to Teacher of French (a recruitment and retetention allowance of up to 10% will also be considered at that point.)

We are looking to appoint Exam Invigilators to assist with the effective conduct of examinations. You will need to be reliable, punctual, flexible, confident, firm but fair, and calm under pressure.
As an invigilator you will be responsible for conducting examination sessions with students present and ensure the integrity of the external examination/assessment process. Working as a team with other invigilators you will also contribute to ensuring a calm environment while examinations take place.
All applicants must have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. If you are successful you will be required to comply with the Trust’s safeguarding policies and procedures. An Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for all posts.
Salary: Scale 2, Points 3-4; £11.78 p/h – £11.98 p/h (variable hours, as and when required).
