Teacher of English with additional responsibilities

Due to growing pupil numbers we are seeking an inspirational and highly motivated Teacher of English with additional responsibilities to join our team at Ipswich Academy for January 2024 (an early start date is possible).

You will be joining a dynamic, aspiring and highly successful department where you will be teaching across KS3 and KS4. Your additional responsibilities will include supporting the head of department in developing and leading a team of teachers within the English department, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, including the wellbeing of staff and students. SEN Teacher

Paradigm Trust is looking to appoint a SEN Teacher at Ipswich Academy for January 2024. You will teach across KS3 and KS4 and be based in the support centre, a bespoke, small group provision for students with complex special educational needs. The successful applicant will not need to have previous experience working in a SEN provision, but must demonstrate a thorough understanding of SEN. You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent), be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies to meet the specific communication needs of pupils with significant SEND, and must be able to plan lessons effectively for groups and all the pupils. The closing date for applications is 9.00am, 4th December 2023.

Exam Invigilator

We are looking to appoint Exam Invigilators to assist with the effective conduct of examinations.  You will need to be reliable, punctual, flexible, confident, firm but fair, and calm under pressure. 

As an invigilator you will be responsible for conducting examination sessions with students present and ensure the integrity of the external examination/assessment process.  Working as a team with other invigilators you will also contribute to ensuring a calm environment while examinations take place. 

All applicants must have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  If you are successful you will be required to comply with the Trust’s safeguarding policies and procedures.  An Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for all posts.

This position will be on an ‘as and when’ basis.
